Extendicare Mapleview is 150,000 Sq Ft, 256 bed long-term care facility that consolidated existing beds formerly located within other facilities located in Sault Ste. Marie. It was designed to the 2009 Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (MOHLTC) design guidelines. IDEA was retained by Montgomery Sisam Architects to provide Contract Administration Services during construction, and by Ellis Don Construction to provide full mechanical and electrical commissioning services prior to occupancy. The project utilized a Construction Management process involving a Guaranteed Maximum Price. It ultimately became a Fixed Price contract once all of the trade prices were received.
