Marathon LTC I Barrick Care

$0.00

This 13,395 Sq Ft project included fourteen long term care beds to Wilson Memorial Hospital in Marathon, ON. The fourteen bed LTC wing is proposed on the south end, adjacent to the current Complex Continuing Care unit (CCC).

The new LTC unit would therefore share operational resources with the existing hospital facility, namely: dietary, housekeeping, maintenance, IPAC, nursing and all administrative functions. The LTC addition conforms to the Ministry of Long-Term Care’s (MLTC) latest Home Design Guidelines.

The project will require parts of the existing hospital to be renovated. Four new CCC beds will be constructed based on the latest CSA Z8000 standard for Health Care Facilities. These will replace two semi bed rooms that are impacted by the new design. Careful consideration has been given to the method of construction, and architectural integration of the new wing
